Proof of Presence

Our day to day lives are filled with projects and work created for the sake of output or income, often without truly impacting anyone or making a meaningful difference.

This project explores hate, love, and indifference as signals of engagement rather than moral judgments. It examines the idea that hate is not a failure, but proof that something has provoked a reaction. To love or to hate requires attention and emotional investment.

Both exist on the same spectrum, where something has been felt strongly enough to matter.

Strong reactions are proof of presence. They mean something landed. Indifference is the more unsettling condition. When nothing is challenged or resisted, nothing is truly seen. It’s not balance; it’s emptiness.
